City sunshine on the beach

Avoiding the rays awkwardly walks

Through the cobbles of gold

Averting the gaze from the ugly reality

Of the homeless and problems

On this city's streets

Into a shop, where he looks at a top

Just fifty pounds reduced from 110

His mind glances back

Would this money be better off spent

Feeding somebody, as perverted recompense

He puts the top back

Walks out the shop, thrusts fifty squids

Into the hands

Of a big issue seller
