The Echo of a faraway place

Of a moment in time

From before you could speak

You see the scene vividly

Inside your mind,

You can remember the smells

And even the time

A coffee shop trip

With your mom and your sister

A ham toasted sandwich

With milkshake and sauce

Your mom sips her coffee

Has a smile on her face

She looks really pretty

Your sister kicks you

From the under the table

The bistro is buzzing

With waiters and servers

The tables are full

It gets on adults nerves

But to you as a child

This place is wondrous

Where else in the World

Would you get milkshake and chocolate

Back to the moment

Mom is now elderly

Grips on your hand

Travels to distant lands

But the memory is there

From the moment in Weymouth

Where she sipped on her coffee

Smiled at her World
